Research Institutes in Belize

Many of the research institutes in Belize specialise in environmental affairs due to Belize’s lush rainforests, unique reefs and numerous ecosystems. Relevant example includes the Institute of Marine Studies, the Institute for Tropical & Wilderness Medicine, The Coastal Zone Management Institute, and the Belize Raptor Research Institute. There are also some organisations with a socio-cultural focus. Examples include the Institute of Social and Cultural Research, the Institute of Archaeology, and the Belize Institute of Telecommunications and Information Technology.
