The Brunei Economic Development Board is Brunei’s premier economic development agency, and is administered as part of the Prime Minister’s Office. Its main goals are to attract FDI, develop local businesses, aiding with infrastructure products and taking a leading role in diversifying the economy. The Brunei Investment Agency (BIA) is the main agency which holds and manages the funds of the Government of Brunei, and manages the use of its external assets.   Other economic development agencies include the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, and the Brunei Industrial Development Authority.
