Transport in Mozambique

Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) offers domestic flights from Maputo to most of the provinces. Rail connections between Maputo and Beira do not exist, but there is a rail network operational between various regions. A well-connected road network links the major cities, although flooding can cause major delays in the rainy season (October to March). There is also a regular bus service that links most of the country, although many foreign visitors opt for car hire facilities, available from international and local agencies in Maputo and Beira.
