Find Security expertise in Namibia
There are over 100 private security companies in Namibia employing up to 20,000 personnel and providing services to businesses, residential homes and the public sector (2009). Security companies should register with the Security Enterprises and Security Officer Regulation Board (SESORB). Namibian law permits the licensed use of firearms, which allows some personnel from registered companies to carry firearms, an activity that falls within the purview of the Arms and Ammunitions Act of 1996. The security industry is broadly governed by the Security Enterprises and Security Officers Act of 1998.
