There are many comfortable accommodation options in Papua New Guinea. Most hotels are of an international standard and are located in Lae, Madang and Port Moresby. There are also smaller hotels and motels in most of the developed regions of the island, while lodge accommodation is on the increase as the tourism industry continues to grow. Some lodges offer accommodation in the more remote locations where the natural beauty can be enjoyed, though many of these can only be reached by air or river, in particular those in the Highlands and on the Sepik River.
