Singapore has advanced telecommunications infrastructure. A survey of telecoms in Singapore shows that there are 402 main telephone lines, 1,382 mobile phone subscribers, and 730 internet users per 1,000 people within the country (2008). Additionall, some 98% of households have TV sets (2006) and there are 760 personal computers per 1,000 people (2007).

The major provider of telecommunication services is SingTel. The other prominent players are StarHub, which provides fixed line services, and Mobile One (M1) which provides GSM and CDMA networks. Virgin Mobile of the UK also provides mobile telephone services. There are four major internet service providers, namely, SingNet, StarHub Internet, Pacific Internet and M1.

Singapore Telecommunications Limited, commonly abbreviated as SingTel, is a Singaporean telecommunications company, with a combined mobile subscriber base of 500 million customers from its own operations and regional associates in 25 countries at end of March 2014 making it one of the largest mobile network operators in Singapore one of the largest in the world.

The regulatory body for telecoms is the Telecommunication Authority of Singapore (TAS).
