St Kitts and Nevis’ most popular higher education institution is The Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College formerly the College of Further Education. Established in 1988 the academic curriculum of Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College’s comprises of teacher education; technical and vocational education; management studies; and nursing and health sciences. Entry to Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College and UWI is dependent on passes in 5 GCEs and 2 A-levels. Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College is complemented by the regional institution, the University of the West Indies (UWI), and seven private offshore universities. The University of the West Indies offers courses in various academic fields with qualifications leading to Masters level specifically in the disciplines of education, agriculture and counselling. The seven offshore universities provide a wide ranging curriculum, though their student bodies are virtually all North American in composition.
