Tourism in Uganda

Uganda has been referred to as ‘the pearl of Africa’ and is where the East African savannah meets the West African jungle. It has some of the best national parks in Africa, of which Ruwenzori National Park is regarded as the most spectacular. Visitors can also see rare mountain gorillas and other primates in the Bwindi Forest and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park; go white-water rafting in the White Nile; visit the source of the Nile at the Owen Falls Dam; go trekking in high mountains, lush hills, wetlands and arid lands; and explore the capital, Kampala, with its eclectic mix of fine modern architecture and cathedrals and palaces of the old Kingdom of Buganda.
