Essentials in Dominica

To enter Dominica, a passport valid for six months is required by most nationals, except Canada and France which only need proof of citizenship. Visas are not required for the major EU countries, members of the Commonwealth and the USA.  Full medical insurance is advised for international visitors as treatment is on a ‘payment on advance’ basis. Other useful information includes how bottled water is available and is advised for the first few weeks of the stay. Drinking water outside main towns is not advisable however.
