Barbados has two investment promotion agencies: the Barbados Investment and Development Corporation (BIDC) and Invest Barbados. BIDC is tasked with facilitating successful and sustained development of the manufacturing and small business sectors in the country. Invest Barbados’s role is to promote Barbados as a desirable investment location and to attract foreign direct investment. It also promotes the export of services, and is responsible for attracting export business for service sectors in Barbados.
