Bilateral and Multilateral Co-operation

South Africa maintains healthy bilateral and multilateral relations with many countries. Its relationship with the UK is expressed through the Department for International Development (DFID). DFID has supported numerous developmental projects in South Africa and has assisted the country in reaching its Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by improving measles immunisation, skilled birth attendance and access to improved water sources.
