Nketoana Local Municipality

Nketoana is a local municipality in the Thabo Mofutsanyane district, Free State. The main towns are Arlington, Lindley, Petrus Steyn and Reitz. Reitz, the seat of local government, has a well-developed central business district and operates two industrial areas which mainly work to support agriculture in the area. The farming community is among the most productive in South Africa and holds one of the largest maize silos in the world, with the town also playing host to the head office of the Free State agricultural Co-operative, one of the largest co-operative agricultural societies in the country.
