Petauke

Petauke is a district in the Eastern Province with the town of Petauke as its capital. The district and its capital are known for the production of maize, cotton, sunflower, groundnut, soya beans and other crops, as well as for containing natural resources such as copper, amethyst and gold. There are several cotton mills and breweries in Petauke. The North and South Luangwa National Parks form some of the tourist attractions in the area.
