Senqu Local Municipality
Senqu, the Sesotho name for Orange River, is a local municipality in the Joe Gqabi district, Eastern Cape. The main towns are Barkly East, Rhodes, Rossouw, Sterkspruit and Lady Grey, which is the seat of local government. The main economic sectors are agriculture, tourism and business services. The Witteberg Mountains contribute greatly to the area’s natural beauty.
