Mwansabombwe

Mwansabombwe, meaning “where Mwansa works”, is a new district in the Luapula Province located near the Democratic Republic of Congo. The town of Mwansabombwe, also known as Kazembe, is a centre for trade, culture and fishing in the district and is often referred to as the “largest village in central Africa”. The district offices are set to be built on virgin land near the town.
