Samfya

Samfya is a district in the Luapula Province with the town of Samfya as its capital. The district is characterised by swamps, lakes and floodplains which include Lake Bangweulu and the Bangweulu swamps. The main economic activity is fishing. The district is home to the Kasamba Stream Grinding Grooves are an Iron Age site where axes and other implements were sharpened.
