Isoka

Isoka District is located in the newly created Muchinga Province of Zambia. The administrative center of the district is which is a town located near the borders with Tanzania and Malawi. The district is populated mainly by Winamwanga, but the Wiwa, the Mambwe, the Nyika and the Tumbuka are also found here.The district was estimated to have a population of about 100,000 people as of 2000, and the district is at a fairly high altitude; nearly 1km above sea level.
