Sedibeng District Municipality

Sedibeng is a district municipality consisting of three local municipalities: Lesedi, Midvaal and Emfuleni. It is the only region of the province that is positioned on the banks of the Vaal River and Vaal Dam, as well as the rivers Klip and Suikerbos. It is the industrial centre of Gauteng province with a well-developed transport network that crosses the district and provides access to other provinces. This combined with the high availability of land for development within Sedibeng creates good opportunity for growth within the district. Dominant manufacturing industries include the fabricated metal and chemical sectors.
