Nakapiripirit

Nakapiripirit District is picturesque rural district in the Ghana’s Northern Region. It has its capital at Nakapiripirit and is part of the Karamoja sub-region which consists of the Abim, Amudat, Kaabong, Kotido, Moroto, Napak and Nakapiripirit Districts. The majority of the population is engaged in pastoralism, keeping heard animals. However, a small proportion of the population take part in small-scale agriculture growing maize, millet, fruit and vegetables amongst other crops. Although tourism is not yet well-developed in Nakapiripirit, Kadam Mountain has great potential to draw tourists.
