Pader

Pader is a district in Uganda’s Northern Region and was created in 2000 with the union of the Kitgum and Agago Districts and borders Sudan to the north. The principal economic activity in the district is farming with sesame, sunflower, millet and potatoes being among the main cash crops. However, there is great potential for the development of the tourist industry with the Aruu Falls and the Wii-Polo Martyr’s shrine in Paimol.
