Blue Crane Route Local Municipality
Blue Crane Route, named for South Africa’s national bird, is a local municipality in the Cacadu district, Eastern Cape. The main towns are Cookhouse, Pearston, Petersburg and Somerset East, which is the seat of local government. The main economic sectors are finance, transport, communications, trade and agriculture. Addo Elephant National Park is one of the nature conservation parks in the area.
