Cacadu District Municipality

Cacadu, “bulrush river” in Khoekhoe, is a district municipality consisting of nine local municipalities: Camdeboo, Blue Crane Route, Ikwezi, Makana, Ndlambe, Sunday’s River Valley, Baviaans, Kouga and Kou-Kamma. The seat of the district is Port Elizabeth. The Greater Addo National Elephant Park and the Tsitsikamma National Park are two of the six district management areas. The main economic sector is agriculture, followed by manufacturing and construction.
