Ndlambe Local Municipality

Ndlambe is a local municipality in the Cacadu district, Eastern Cape. The main towns are Alexandria, Bathurst, Boknes (also known as Boknesstrand), Cannon Rocks, Bushmans River, Kenton-on-Sea, Seafield and Port Alfred, which is the seat of local government. The economic sector is dominated by agriculture and tourism. Alexandria is known for chicory farming and Port Alfred is home to South Africa’s largest air school, while Bathurst is one of the largest pineapple growing areas in South Africa and is believed to hold the oldest inn and the third oldest pub in the country.
