Mitooma

Mitooma District is located in south-west Uganda in the Western Region and has its capital at Mitooma. The picturesque district is predominantly agricultural with fisheries, livestock as well as crop production occupying the majority of the workforce. The most commonly kept livestock in Mitooma include cattle, goats, sheep, rabbits and poultry. The growing fisheries sector in the district is mainly centred on aquaculture in small-scale fish ponds.
