Bomet County

Bomet County is located in the Rift Valley, Kenya and Moet Town is the administrative capital. Agriculture is the main economic activity, including tea farming and dairy production as the main economic sectors contributing the most to the local GDP, while maize is the counties staple food. With a small area of about 1600km2 and al large population of almost 400,000, the county is amongst the most densely populated counties in the region. Trade is conducted in the urban centres of the region with a number of financial institutions offering banking and credit services to the people of the county.
