Nyandarua County

Nyandarua County is located in Central Kenya, and shares borders with Laikipia to the north and north east, Nyeri and Murang’a to the east, Kiambu to the South, and Nakuru to the South and South West. The county covers an area of about 3,200 km2. Agriculture is the main economic activity of the county, though largely concentrated in the highland regions which receive higher rainfall, while livestock rearing is undertaken on large ranches in the lower regions. The county is also home to Aberdare range, which is a 160km long mountain range, and Thomson falls, which is a scenic 74m waterfall. Both are key tourist destinations for the county.
