Nyamira County

Nyamira County, with its administrative capital at Nyamira town, is located in the Western region of Kenya in the Nyanza Province. The county shares borders with Homa Bay County to the north, Bomet to the East, Kisii to the West, Narok to the South, and Kericho to the North East. The county covers an area of about 900km2, and with temperatures ranging between 10 °C and 29 °C, the county is well suited to agriculture which is the main economic activity. The main cash crops are tea and pyrethrum, as well as sugarcane, bananas, dairy and livestock products.
