Nairobi County

Nairobi County includes Nairobi City and its metropolis. Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya and is the principal economic, administrative and cultural centre, and one of the fastest growing cities in Africa. The city metropolis has well developed infrastructure, including modern financial and communications systems. Nairobi is also home to the country’s largest industrial centre which accounts for about 20 per cent of the GDP. Yet, areas around Nairobi are also prime agricultural lands, with the principal food crops being maize, sorghum, cassava, beans and fruit.
